We at Primastone look to understand how our business practices and our suppliers’ operations may be affecting people and the environment. We look at different areas of business operations like labor standards, health and safety and environmental impact, to understand the social and environmental risks within these areas, and take steps to limit these risks.
Primastone is manufactured through environmentally-sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. For example, 100% of the water used to manufacture and fabricate Primastone is recycled. Even the natural quartz used in the product is completely inert and does not cause degradation of the environment.
Primastone avoids the unsustainable model of planned obsolescence and the wasteful ‘use and throw’ model which is leading to environmental, economic and social problems. We are trying to build a circular economy model, in which responsible forms of collaborative consumption (like selling offcuts to local handicraft manufacturers), lengthy life cycles, and buy-back schemes are offered to avoid throwaway and wastages.
